Local Enterprise Week 2020 has been officially launched across Ireland, with Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) across Ireland set to celebrate the work of indigenous entrepreneurs and start-ups
Local Enterprise Week 2020 has been officially launched across Ireland, with Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) across Ireland set to celebrate the work indigenous entrepreneurs and start-ups between Monday 2nd – Friday 6th March.
The week is also geared towards those looking for inspiration and support when planning and starting their own business from the ground up.
Thousands of small business owners and budding entrepreneurs are expected to attend over 300 events hosted at the 31 LEOs located across the country during Local Enterprise Week 2020.
The programme of events is designed to help businesses and fledgling start-ups address the key challenges on the horizon as we embark on a new decade.
Popular topics will include how to hone your financial reporting skills as an entrepreneur, sustainability and the green economy, preparing for Brexit, how to pitch for sales and funding and how to market your business online and offline.
The LEOs will also offer sector-specific mentoring workshops and sessions to help small businesses and budding entrepreneurs to get the most out of Local Enterprise Week 2020.
The county finals for the 2020 Student Enterprise Programme and National Enterprise Awards are also scheduled for this week, with students aiming to earn a place at the national finals to be hosted in the summer.
Oisín Geoghegan, chair of the network of LEOs, said: “Local Enterprise Week is a huge opportunity for small businesses and for those possible future start-ups to see the full range of support out there for them.
“No matter what their business challenge or sector, the Local Enterprise Offices will be putting on events for everyone, be it LEAN workshops, pitch training, trading online, sales and marketing, mastering social media, or simply, how to start a business, then it will be covered.
