Full Time Trainee Accountant - Dundrum & Dun Laoghaire

TaxAssist Accountants is Ireland’s first network of specialist small business accountants. We are looking for a graduate for our Dundrum & Dun Laoghaire offices who would like to train to become a fully qualified Accountant.
You will be working directly with local small business owners from day one, helping them with their finances. If you like the idea of no two days being the same and having real responsibility and a hands on learning experience in an unfussy environment then this is the path for you.
Main Duties:

Assisting in the preparation of accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships.

Bookkeeping and VAT duties.

Payroll preparation.

Preparation of tax returns across all tax heads.

Client relationship building.
Requirements:

A degree of any discipline.

The desire to study towards ACA

Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.

Team worker and highly motivated.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Computer literate (in particular Excel).
Trainee will gain experience in statutory accounts preparation, taxation across all tax heads, bookkeeping and payroll.
Conditions:
The position will involve a contract, with paid study leave and exam fees, in line with CAI guidelines, leading to the ACA qualification.
