SMEs given deadline extension for Digital Boost applications
Irish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have been given a deadline extension to apply for this year’s Digital Boost Initiative.
The scheme, provided by Eircom Business Solutions, has extended its application deadline to 30th April 2015, giving more small business owners an opportunity to gain support to enhance their online presence.
A funding pot of €100,000 remains available to share between all the winners which is part of the €250,000 seed fund aimed at giving the SME community guidance in four key areas to underpin growth: business mobility, digital training, sales and marketing and business productivity.
David Walsh, director of SME and commercial, Eircom Business Solutions, said: “We were very encouraged by the huge response from SMEs, who are realising the opportunities that the right digital presence can mean for their business.
“The high standard of applicants in Round 1 of Digital Boost has already been matched by the applicants we have seen in Round 2, but there is still time to apply.
“This fund is a key pillar of our overall strategy to support the growth of Irish SMEs, and to help build digital expertise within those organisations.”
Such giants as Google, PayPal and Samsung have partnered with Eircom Business Solutions to deliver a suite of digital funding to the 17 successful applicants in the first round.
Round two of applications is open to all SMEs and mid-market enterprises.
Applications should tell Eircom everything about their business and how they would benefit most from Digital Boost funding.
