SFA calls for small business focus in Budget 2020
SFA believes Budget 2020 is the right time for the government to focus on small businesses.
- A review of capital gains tax rates. The SFA believes the current 33% rate and the ceiling on Entrepreneur Relief is “poor reward” for years and often decades of “hard work to build a business”.
- The SFA is leading the calls for self-employed Earned Income Tax Credit to be given parity with the PAYE tax credit.
- All new measures in Budget 2020 should be assessed for their impact on small businesses. The SFA insists no additional costs on small firms should be introduced.
